Galaxy S2

The sequel to Samsung's best-selling Galaxy S is faster than its predecessor. It also packs an incredible, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen that makes most phone displays look underpowered and undersized. As it that wasn't enough it's loaded with the latest greatest version of the Android operating system too and offers a choice of hundreds of thousands of great apps. Less
Weighing just 116g and measuring just 8.5mm thick, the Galaxy S 2 is the slimmest smartphone so far. But don't be fooled into thinking that features are thin on the ground too. Despite the Galaxy S2's pocket friendly dimensions, it's positively crammed with a stellar array of functions.
At the heart of this brilliant phone is an expansive and not to mention gorgeous, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with an impressive 800x480 resolution that renders images pin-sharp and brimming with colour. That makes it brilliant for viewing media while you're on the go and for watching mini movies and photos that you've captured with the on board camera.
And what a camera it is. With an eight megapixel lens, the Galaxy S can capture still images that are easily the equal of a dedicated digital camera and video in rich high definition. There's also a 1.3 megapixel secondary camera too for video calling, bringing you closer to your nearest and dearest.
Also under the hood of this superb handset is a 1GHz dual core Exnos processor, making it twice as powerful as the single core powered Android phones out there. This, coupled with the fact that the Galaxy S2 comes with the newest Gingerbread version of Android on board, makes for a supremely fast smartphone experience and lets you flick between apps and functions quickly and multi-task with ease.
Other features of the Galaxy S2 include support for Near Field Communications technology to enable you to make contact-less payments for goods and services in much the same way as you would with an Oyster card, a web browser, media player and a host of connectivity options.
As with all Android powered phones, the Galaxy S comes with Google apps, such as Facebook and YouTube, pre-installed and provides access to the Android Market download store. Here, you'll find hundreds of thousands of super titles. With everything from great games to practical business tools to grab, there really is something for everyone.
